My Own Trading

Trading-Coach-Dr-Reid-150x150Markets have been volatile recently and many traders have struggled to adapt. If you are picking tops and bottoms, or simply reacting to price action moment by moment you are likely to get confused and frustrated. During volatile periods, trade with a plan and trade with the trend.

I trade the Nasdaq and S&P futures. I am a great trading coach, but I don’t pretend to be a Master Trader. In fact, I think you will find that many great traders really can’t teach what they do. And the longer you hang out with them, the more of a passive follower you become. This is exactly the wrong mindset for trading success.

But hiring a trading coach that doesn’t trade, or can’t trade is also a mistake. These examples of my own trading are for educational purposes only. The usual disclaimers apply (see below). I am not a broker, Registered Investment Advisor or a CTA.

These examples are being presented to illustrate what consistency looks like in following a Trading Plan and show that it is attainable if you gain control over your own mind. I did, and you can. Market conditions are irrelevant for consistent traders and volatility is used to our advantage.
